Extensions are exceptional. Salix considers force-majeure (supply-chain failure, planning refusal under appeal, archaeological discovery). Routine delays do not qualify.
Evidence of spend
- Contract documents.
- Invoices with payment evidence.
- Construction certificates (practical completion, handover).
- Commissioning records for plant.
School-year critical path
Heat-pump retrofit on an occupied school estate has two viable windows: Christmas break and summer break. Summer is the only window long enough for full-system change-over. Major works inside term must be staged or modular.
