Eligibility and carbon claim

BMS savings come from reduced over-heating, better setbacks, demand-controlled ventilation. Claim is typically 8-15% on heat and 5-10% on electricity.

£ band

£25k to £80k per school for a controls upgrade, depending on plant complexity and number of zones.

£/tCO2e

Often the lowest £/tCO2e in the bundle (£100-200) but the absolute tonnage is modest. Best framed as enabling for a heat-pump or fabric programme.

Reporting interaction

BMS that includes sub-metering on the new heat-pump and fabric-treated zones pays back at the reporting stage (reporting page). Without it, attributing measured kgCO2e to the funded measure is impossible.

Delivery partners

Typical PSDS BMS pipeline: Equans, Mitie, in-house FM teams under LA frameworks.
