- Operates the PSDS portal for applications.
- Scores applications on Grant Carbon Cost.
- Issues award letters with heads of terms.
- Runs the carbon-reporting register post-completion.
- Publishes funded-project lists by phase.
Relationship with DESNZ and DfE
DESNZ sets PSDS policy and budgets [DESNZ]; Salix is the delivery body. DfE owns parallel routes (CIF, R&R, SRP) which Salix does not administer.
Fees and funding
Salix is publicly funded; no fee to applicants. Its operating cost is met through programme allocation, not from grant deductions.
